Night falls over Marrakesh, and sounds and scents permeate the souk, many delighful, some not so. It's the night bazaar, where we've been transported for this experience - hopefully a very pleasant one for all. This place is filled with all imaginable things brought from every stopping place along the Silk Road - the finest silks from far Cathay, softly spun Kashmiri wool, frankincense and myrrh from Arabia and patchouli from India; gold, precious metals and stones, furs, ivory, gun powder, jade and bronze; all sold here. Everything imaginable is for sale here and life can be held cheaply, so have a care where you wander. For tonight only, this place exists in a time all its own - it could be anywhere from the mid-eleventh century to the present. Enjoy your stay, enjoy the shopping, most especially enjoy your visit to the Inn at the end of the darkest, winding path - The Night Owls' Inn, a very singular place, filled with a very interesting, uncommon clientele. While less dangerous than the souk, there is some here too, keep an eye out for 00's.
