HTML

Some basic html and some of my favorite sites to play with.  Don't be intimidated with this stuff, it really is easy once you get the hang of it!

Before you are able to do any html, you must be able to copy and paste.  For those of you who don't know how to use this extremely useful function, read below:

highlight
In order to learn this, the first thing you need to do, is highlight a message.
Take your mouse, pressing the left click and holding it down, run it over the text you wish to highlight.

copy
Place your cursor on the highlighted text, click with your right button this time and a menu should pop up that looks like this.

Select the copy option with your left mouse button.

Paste
Now place your cursor where you plan on putting this highlighted text. With your right mouse button click paste.

How to do the basics...
  • To post in color use the code <font color=red> (or whatever color you might want at the time). You can also use the hexadecimal format (see link below for an explanation) if you prefer. To end the color place </font> where you would like it to end.
  • To change the size of the text use the code <font size=7> (the number you choose will determine the size).
  • To make words bold use the code <b> to turn it off use </b>.
  • To make words italic use the code <i> to turn it off use </i>.
  • To make words underlined use the code <u> to turn it off use </u>.
  • To strike words out use the code <s> to turn it off use </s>.
  • To center your image or text use the code <center>.
  • To post an image use the code <img src=urlgoeshere>.
