Information regarding feedback
Leave feedback after completing any purchase or sale on eBay. Your honest feedback shapes the eBay community and impacts the success and behavior of other eBay members.
Note: Always leave feedback within 90 days after the end of the listing. After 90 days, the item may be removed from eBay, and you'll no longer be able to leave feedback.
If you had a good experience with a buyer or seller on eBay, reward them with a positive comment. If you were treated poorly, try to resolve the problem first by contacting the other person. Most problems can be corrected by improving communication. If things are still not resolved, consider leaving a negative comment.
No. Feedback cannot be erased, so be sure to make only fair and factual comments.
No. You can only leave feedback for purchases or sales on eBay.
No. You can leave feedback only if the reserve price is met.
A registered user's status may change if they ask to cancel their membership or if they're suspended from trading on eBay. If this occurs, there will be no changes to your feedback rating or to the comments left by that user when they were registered.

Feedback Offenses
Specific Trading Offenses As you review this list of offenses, please remember that while multiple User IDs are allowed, it is never permissible for those User IDs to interact with one another. For example, you cannot bid on your own auctions or leave comments on your own Feedback Profiles.
If you've experienced any of these issues, please report offenses to the Investigations link below. Disciplinary action may result in the indefinite suspension of a user's account, temporary suspension, or a formal warning. eBay will consider the circumstances of an alleged offense and the user's trading records before taking action.
- Shill feedback, defensive - Using secondary eBay User IDs or other eBay members to artificially raise the level of your own feedback.
- Shill feedback, offensive - Using eBay User IDs or other eBay members to leave several negative comments for another user
(commonly called feedback bombing).
- Feedback extortion - Demanding any action of a fellow user that he or she is not required to do, at the threat of leaving negative feedback. ("Even though it didn't reach reserve, sell it to me for my bid or..."; "Pay me $100.00 or I will..."; "Sell me all of the Dutch items or I will get all of my friends to...")
- Feedback solicitation - Offering to sell feedback, trade feedback undeservedly, or buy feedback.
A special note: eBay will not remove feedback from your profile unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please check eBay's Feedback Removal Policy for details.

Making Contact
Feedback is often a hasty response to a poor transaction. Ebay recommends making every attempt at contact to resolve issues prior to leaving feedback. If you are having difficulty contacting a buyer or seller, please try all of the available methods.
Having problems contacting your trading partner? How long has it been since your auction ended? eBay recommends 3 business days for contact, and that's a recommendation, not a hard rule. If your auction has just ended, please be patient and give your partner a chance to respond. If it's been longer than three business days, try one or all of the following: 1. Send a message directly to your partner's email address. eBay's "Request Total" messages from buyers and "Invoice" from sellers are notorious for not arriving. DO NOT rely on merely sending messages through eBay. The email address for your buyer or seller will be visible on your "My eBay" page and on the completed auction page (if you're signed in to eBay.) 2. If you have any filters in your email program, turn them OFF. You'd be surprised how often attempts to get rid of spam also block emails from buyers and sellers. 3. If you've been sending emails directly to your partner with no response, then by all means, give eBay's messaging system a try. Click on the link that says "View Seller's Other Auctions, " and if the seller has other auctions running, click on the "Ask Seller a Question" link. Make it CLEAR, by title and auction number, which auction you're referring to. Try the "Request Total" button. Try getting the user's snail mail address in Checkout. Try ANYTHING that will help you make contact with your partner. 4. If you're a buyer who can't reach a seller, check the auction page (and the "About Me" page if there is one) for any phone numbers, toll free phone numbers, alternate email addresses, or website addresses. 5. Sometimes you'll find that you and your partner's ISPs just don't communicate with each other. Try emailing from a different email address (making sure, once again, to clearly identify who you are and which auction you're referring to.) Don't have a second email address? Get one. You can get free email accounts at yahoo, hotmail, netscape, or check the listings here: http://www.iopus.com/guides/bestpopsmtp.htm 6. If you can't get a response or your trading partner's email is returned because of an invalid address, you can request your partner's phone number here: http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MemberSearchShow Be advised that your trading partner will receive your contact info as well. Often a quick phone call is all it takes to resolve a problem.
